Not Just a Pop-Up Vol. II // Curated by Visual Therapy

After the success of the first edition, Visual Therapy is pleased to present Not Just a Pop-Up Vol. II taking place at Dar Al Funoon Gallery on July 15 from 8-11pm.

This exciting art event will feature an exhibition of original artwork by Kuwaiti artists F160 and Shahad Al Asfour. Local graffiti artist Nizzy will also paint a live mural during the show.

Not Just a Pop-Up Vol. II will include a Montana Colors (MTN) graffiti pop-up shop offering a unique selection of street art supplies and merchandise.

About the Artists

Born in Kuwait, F160 paints an obscure world of primitive figures surrounded with symbols and words. His bold use of colors and composition creates a strange harmony of order and chaos.

Shahad Al Asfour is a Kuwaiti illustrator and graphic designer. She is fascinated with the world of art ever since she was a child, branching out to admire all that surrounded her – from graphic design to interior design and architecture, literature to music, noise, bad handwriting, pieces of broken glass, rusted pipes, and even “bad” typography – in each lies a different form of beauty that she finds herself constantly seeking.

Born in 1991, Nizzy has been active in street arts since 2004. Along with spray paint, he uses a variety of mixed mediums in his work. Purple is his trademark color.
